I always preach to pay attention to opening numbers. If you want to win like as sharp you have to think like a sharp I always say. Remember sharps aka professional bettors bet early in the week into opening numbers to get themselves the best value possible.
Remember squares aka the general betting public usually wait to place their bets until gameday before kick off. So any early moves you see during the beginning of the week is sharp money.
It’s important to realize that every early sharp move isn’t them holding on to that position. Sometimes it’s head fake money which is sharps moving a line in order to get a more favorable number on game day betting the other side.
Thursday
Baltimore @ Miami
Sharps took Miami+3.5 this week. My guy also said a little action on the Over bumped him up from 37.5 to 38.
Sunday
Minnesota @ Cleveland
Heavy public action on the Vikings moved them up from -8 to -9. He said almost 9 out of 10 bets are the Vikings here from the public. No sharp interest yet. His total is up from 37.5 to 38. He said he likely will be rooting for the Browns as a need come Sunday.
Chicago @ New Orleans
Nothing to big to report early on. Saints moved up from -8 to -8.5. Total from 48 to 47.5.
Atlanta @ NY Jets
Nothing to report on this game early on.
Carolina @ Tampa Bay
A little sharp interest on Carolina at +2.5 moved my guy down to +2. He said the public and sharps like the Under leaving him needing the Under here. He said this moved from 44 to 46 with all the Over money.
San Francisco @ Philadelphia
A little sharp interest on the 49’ers at +13 moving my guy down to +12.5. He said sharps also hit him on the Under moving him from 47.5 to 46.
Oakland @ Buffalo
Nothing to report early on this game
Indianapolis @ Cincinnati
A little move on the favorite and Over here moving my contact up from -10.5 to -10.5 and 41 to 41.5.
LA Chargers @ New England
Back and forth sharp action on this game. Some guys are on the Chargers+7.5 and he said others laid the 7 with New England. A little move on the Under from 49 to 48.5.
Houston @ Seattle
Nothing much to report but the Total is up a half of tick from 45 to 45.5.
Dallas @ Washington
A little interest on Washington at +2.5 moved them down to +2. The total is also down a half of tick from 50.5 to 50.
Pittsburgh @ Detroit
Back and forth on this game. My guy tells me some guys took Detroit+3 and others laid -2.5 on Pittsburgh so it all depended on the number.
Monday
Denver @ Kansas City
Sharps like the Under here moving my guy from 44 to 43. He said they are split on the side. Some sharps are on the Chiefs-7 and other sharps took the Broncos+7.5.
Sometimes I agree with these early moves and sometimes I don’t. One thing I can say in my opinion has been a strong one.
