My weekly blog special the “Smart Money Report” Week 4 edition is here to help you guys out. Make sure to check here every Thursday during NFL season as I utilize all my sharps aka professional bettor contacts, Las Vegas Oddsmaker contacts, and NYC bookies to give you the info on what’s happening behind the counter in the NFL betting marketplace with every game on the board.
I always preach to pay attention to opening numbers. If you want to win like as sharp you have to think like a sharp I always say. Remember sharps aka professional bettors bet early in the week into opening numbers to get themselves the best value possible.
Remember squares aka the general betting public usually wait to place their bets until gameday before kick off. So any early moves you see during the beginning of the week is sharp money.
It’s important to realize that every early sharp move isn’t them holding on to that position. Sometimes it’s head fake money which is sharps moving a line in order to get a more favorable number on game day betting the other side.
Thursday
Chicago @ Green Bay
Nothing on the side here but two way sharp action on the Total. My Vegas guy said some guys bet Under 45.5 and other guys bet the Over at 43.5.
Sunday
New Orleans @ Miami
A little sharp interest on New Orleans moving them from -2.5 to -3 and some interest on the Over pushing it from 49.5 to 50.5
Carolina @ New England
My guy tells me over 4 out of 5 bets are on New England here. He definitely will need Carolina. He said the public and sharps are on the Over moving this from 47.5 to 49. He said the Under will help too.
LA Rams @ Dallas
It’s been all sharp and public money combined on the dog and Over here. My Vegas guy says he’s down to 6.5 from a 7.5 opener and the total is up from 46 to 48. He said he’ll be rooting for Dallas and the Under the way things are looking.
Tennessee @ Houston
My Vegas guy said 3 out of 4 bets are on Tennessee here moving this from -1 to -2.5 early on. He said he’ll have to wait to see if this hits 3 if sharps come in on the dog which he suspects is the number they are waiting on.
Jacksonville @ NY Jets
My Vegas bookmaker source says sharps took the Jets at +3.5 earlier this week. He also said sharps like the Under betting this down from 39.5 to 38.5 early this week
Cincinnati @ Cleveland
Nothing to report on the side but early sharp support on the Over pushing this up from 40 to 41.5.
Pittsburgh @ Baltimore
A little money came in on Pittsburgh moving them from -2.5 to -3 where all is quiet. He did note sharps did not buy in on the Ravens once he hit the key number of 3. He did say the big sharp money here is on the Under. Mixed with public action on the Under he moved this down to 41.5 from a 45 opener.
Buffalo @ Atlanta
Very small sharp interest on the Bills at +8.5 in Sin City on this one.
NY Giants @ Tampa Bay
Sharps in Vegas took the Giants at +3.5. He did also note a little interest on the Over at 44 moving this up to 44.5.
Philadelphia @ Los Angeles Chargers
Sharp sentiment on the Chargers and Over early on this week. My Vegas Oddsmaker source says he he moved Los Angeles from a PK to as high as -2 with a little opposing sharp support on Philly +2. He did note he is at 1.5 on this game now. The Over got bet up from 46.5 to 47.5
San Francisco @ Arizona
Sharps took the 49’ers at +7 in Vegas on this one.
Oakland @ Denver
Sharps like Denver in this one betting them up from -1.5 to -3 with no buy back interest on the dog at +3. His Total is down half a tick from 47 to 46.5
Indianapolis @ Seattle
Nothing in Vegas to report early on this one.
Washington @ Kansas City
Nothing on the side to report but a little sharp interest on the Under moving this from 49.5 to 49 at my Vegas sources shop.
Sometimes I agree with these early moves and sometimes I don’t. One thing I can say in my opinion has been a strong one.
