NFL Week 9 Smart Money Report

My weekly blog special the “Smart Money Report” Week 9 edition is here to help you guys out. Make sure to check here every Thursday during NFL season as I utilize all my sharps aka professional bettor contacts, Las Vegas Oddsmaker contacts, and NYC bookies to give you the info on what’s happening behind the counter in the NFL betting marketplace with every game on the board.

I always preach to pay attention to opening numbers. If you want to win like as sharp you have to think like a sharp I always say. Remember sharps aka professional bettors bet early in the week into opening numbers to get themselves the best value possible.

Remember squares aka the general betting public usually wait to place their bets until gameday before kick off. So any early moves you see during the beginning of the week is sharp money.

It’s important to realize that every early sharp move isn’t them holding on to that position. Sometime it’s head fake money which is sharps moving a line in order to get a more favorable number on game day betting the other side.

Miami @ Kansas City (-4, O/U 40)
My Las Vegas oddsmaker opened this up at Miami+6 on Monday afternoon before the Chiefs Monday Night game even started and saw immediate support on the dog. He said throughout the week sharp money has poured in on Miami and he is at 4.5 at press time. He saw an early move on the under as it was bet down to 39.5 from a 40.5 opener. Here in New York this opened at 4.5 on Tuesday morning and my local bookie source told me he took some sharp $$ on Miami and adjusted to 4 where the love stopped. Different story on the total here as he was bet up half a tick to 40 from a 39.5 opener.

Tampa Bay @ New Orleans (-9, O/U 50)
My Las Vegas oddsmaker contact opened this up at 8 with a total of 50 and has no sharp interest to report. Here on the east coast sharps were a little more active. This opened at 7.5 and was quickly bet up to 9 with money coming in on the Saints. The total opened at 50 was bet up to 51 before settling at 50.5 come press time.

Atlanta @ Indianapolis (+7, O/U 44)
My Vegas oddsmaker source said he opened this up at 7 and saw a little head fake $$ to get it up to 7.5 where he saw some buy back on the dog at 7.5. He currently is at 7 with a quiet total at 44.5. Here in NYC locals opened this up at 9 and that # disappeared quickly as sharp money came in on the home dog. It was bet down to 7 and the total has fluctuated between 44.5 and 45 early in the week.

Cleveland @ Houston (-11, O/U 41)
According to my Las Vegas bookmaker he told me he opened this at 10 and that # only stuck around for about 3 hours before he was bet up to Houston -11 from sharps early. He said the total has been dead quiet at his shop. Here on the east coast the same exact story with early Houston $$ betting the opener up from 10 to 11. Same exact story as Vegas on the total.

NY Jets @ Buffalo (-1, O/U 44)
My Las Vegas source told me he is dead quiet at -1.5 in this game but has moved the total up a tick from the opener of 43 to 43.5 early in the week. Note his shops had the lowest total opened on this game on the strip. Here in New York my local source opened this at Buffalo-1 and has moved it up to Buffalo-1.5 with a slight amount of early support on the Bills but nothing to write home about. He opened the total at 44.5 and it was bet as low as 43.5 before settling at the key # of 44.

San Francisco @ Washington (+3.5, O/U 37.5)
My Vegas contact said all is quiet on the side at 3.5 but he did move the total down a half a tick from 38 to 37.5. Here in New York a test line of 4 was sent out according to my local bookie source and he saw immediate sharp money on the home dog. He adjusted to 3.5 where all has been quiet. The total opened at 37.5 and was bet up to 38.5 with head fake money. Sharps came back heavy on the under at 38.5 which is a half of point above the key # of 38 and sits quiet now at 37.5 come press time.

Seattle @ Dallas (-11.5, O/U 44.5)
My Vegas contact opened this at 13 and saw early Seahawks support from sharps betting this all the way down to 11.5. He said he saw support on the Over as sharps bet this up to 44 from the 42.5 opener. My local bookie source here in New York opened this at 12.5 and saw early sharp support on the Seahawks as well. He is currently at 11.5 and also saw a sharp move on the over moving it up to 44 from a 42.5 opener.

Cincinnati @ Tennessee (-3, O/U 41.5)
My Vegas source confirmed that all is quiet on the side at the key number of 3 and the total was bet up half a tick from 41 to 41.5. Here on the east coast if you want to bet the Bengals you are paying an adjusted -125 vig at +3. My local source said the total has fluctuated between 42 and 41 early in the week.

Denver @ Oakland (-9, O/U 42.5)
My Vegas contact said all is quiet on the side as he sits at 8 right now which is a dead number in between the key #’s of 7 and 10. He said the total opened at 42.5 and was bet as high up as 44 with head fake money before settling back down at 42.5. According to my local source all is quiet on the side at 9 and the total which opened 43.5 was bet down to 42.5 with early support on the Under.

NY Giants @ New England (-9, O/U 50.5)
My Vegas oddsmaker contact opened this up at New England -8.5 and now sits at New England-9 . The total opened at 52 and he has seen an early sharp move toward the under being bet down from 52 to the current number of 51. Here in New York according to my local bookie source all is quiet at 9 on the side. He said the total opened at 51 when he was bet up to to 52 before settling at 51.5 come press time. Both books are very worried about the Patriots in the teaser window this week.

St. Louis @ Arizona (-3,5, O/U 42)
On Monday my Las Vegas source opened this at 5 and saw immediate sharp support for the dog. He was bet down to 3.5 where the number sits. He saw big early sharp support on the Under as he was bet down to 42 from a 45.5 opener which is a major 3.5 point swing on a total this early in the week. Here in New York my local source has made some adjustments. If you want to bet St.Louis you have to pay an adjusted -120 vig at 3.5. He opened the total at 43.5 and saw an early sharp move on the Under moving this down to the key # of 42.

Green Bay @ San Diego (+6, O/U 51)
My Vegas oddsmaker contact opened this on Monday at Green Bay-4 before the Chargers Monday night game and saw immediate sharp support on the Packers. He reached as high as 6 before seeing sharps buy back on the home dog at the key # of 6. He currently sits at 5.5. The total opened at 51 and was bet up as high as 53 before settling back at 51. My local NYC contact opened this at 6 and saw some early sharp support on the dog moving it down to 5.5. At 5.5 he reported Packers support and adjusted back to 6 where all is quiet. He has been bet down half a tick from the 51.5 opener on the total 51. Both books are worried about the Packers in the teaser window this week.

Baltimore @ Pittsburgh (-3.5, O/U 42)
My Vegas oddsmaker source opened this at 3.5 and saw sharp support on the Ravens and has adjusted to 3 where all is quiet. He saw support on the Under as he was bet down to 41.5 from a 42.5 opener. On the east coast all is quiet at 3.5 at press time on the side. My local source opened at 42 saw immediate head fake money on the over and was bet up to 44 before sharps came in and bought back on the under. He now sits at 42.

Chicago @ Philadelphia (-9, O/U 47)
My Las Vegas source opened this at 6.5 and has seen some sharp support early on the Eagles being bet up to 7.5 come press time. He feels it could be a head fake move as sharps take the dog at the best number possible come game day and try to set up a middle. Here in New York this opened up at 7 at underground shops and saw some early support on the dog and was bet down to 6.5. That number stuck around for only about a day as sharps came back in on Philly and he is currently at 9. He said if 10 becomes available on game day he is also worried about being middled with Eagles backers at 6.5 and Bears support at 10. Both books are worried about the Eagles in the teaser window this week.

Sometimes I agree with these early moves and sometimes I don’t. One thing I can say in my opinion has been a strong one this year in the NFL. I’ve been red hot with a 22-14-1 (61%) record this year with over 25.8* units of profit netted! It’s good to have a guy like me by your side come Sunday to help utilize my contacts to make us money on some diamonds in the rough. Hop on board with me this Sunday and Monday night as I look to exploit the marketplace with the help of my contacts.
