2016 Week 9 NFL Smart Money Report

FootballMoneyMy weekly blog special the “Smart Money Report” Week 1 edition is here to help you guys out. Make sure to check here every Thursday during NFL season as I utilize all my sharps aka professional bettor contacts, Las Vegas Oddsmaker contacts, and NYC bookies to give you the info on what’s happening behind the counter in the NFL betting marketplace with every game on the board.

I always preach to pay attention to opening numbers. If you want to win like as sharp you have to think like a sharp I always say. Remember sharps aka professional bettors bet early in the week into opening numbers to get themselves the best value possible.

Remember squares aka the general betting public usually wait to place their bets until gameday before kick off. So any early moves you see during the beginning of the week is sharp money.

It’s important to realize that every early sharp move isn’t them holding on to that position. Sometimes it’s head fake money which is sharps moving a line in order to get a more favorable number on game day betting the other side.

Falcons @ Bucs

Here in NYC my local bookie source says early sharp money came in on the Falcons moving them from -3 to -4. He did note at +4 some sharp buy back started trickling in on Tampa Bay. His Total is down a half of tick from 51 to 50.5. My Vegas guy tells me a little sharp action came in on Atlanta moving them from -3.5 to -4. He did note his Total is down from 51 to 50 with some Under support from sharps. Both guys said their ticket count is overwhelmingly lop sided here and both will be rooting for the Bucs.

Dallas @ Cleveland

My NYC local source said he opened this at 7 and saw some sharp interest on the Cowboys. He moved up to 7.5 where opposing sharps came in on the Browns which forced him to settle this back to 7. He did note when he moved it back he attached a -120 vig to the Cowboys because he expects heavy public interest on them as well. My Las Vegas oddsmaker contact opened this at 7.5 and said that sharps took the 7.5 with the Browns here. Both guys did note public and sharp money on the Over here and likely will need the Under.

Miami @ NY Jets
Here in NYC the sharp money came in on the Under moving them down from 45 to 44. Nothing to report in Vegas on this one.

Philadelphia @ NY Giants

Sharps took the +3 here with the Eagles in the local NYC betting market. He said even some are taking the +2.5. He said that is great news for him because local Giants fans will be all over the Giants here. My Vegas guy says sharps are also on the Eagles here at +3 only though. He did note his Total is down a half of tick from 44 to 43.5.

Jacksonville @ Kansas City
Nothing in NYC to report on this one. In Vegas though my Sin City contact tells me a little back and forth small action both ways on the side. He did note a little move from -8.5 to -9 on the side here early and a little buy back forcing him down to 8. But nothing overwhelming in terms of money either way. He said the real big sharp move is the Under. He’s been bet down from 45.5 to 44.

Detroit @ Minnesota

My NYC guy said as we go to do the blog he’s starting to see some Lions sharp money trickle in at +6 but nothing to overwhelming to write home about. My Vegas guy said nothing in terms of sharp action on this one. My Vegas guy tells me he is starting to see the recreational bettors show their hand and they like the Lions here after being burned by the Vikings two weeks in a row, he expects the Lions a popular dog play on Sunday from the public.

New Orleans @ San Francisco
Two way sharp action in NYC on this one. My local bookie source opened this up at 3.5 and saw sharp money come in on the 49’ers moving this down to 3. He did note at 3 he saw some opposing sharps lay it with the Saints. He moved back up to 3.5 where a second wave of sharp money is starting to come back on the 49’ers, but not as big as the initial move early in the week he noted. Same exact story in Vegas on the side. My Guy tells me some sharps are on the 49’ers +3.5 while others are on the Saints-3. Both guys report public and sharp money on the Over and will be rooting for the Under here.

Pittsburgh @ Baltimore

Off the board at time of blog.

Carolina @ Los Angeles

Nothing really on the side. His Total is down from 45.5 to 45 here in NYC. Nothing in Vegas to report on this one.

Tennessee @ San Diego
Two way action here in NYC on this side. My guy did say both moves aren’t that big though. Initial money bet the Chargers up from -4.5 to -5.5 with a little sharp interest on the dead number of 5.5 on the Titans forcing him back to 5. He said the strong sharp move was on the Under here, betting him down to 47 from a 49 opener. Nothing to report in Vegas on this one. My Vegas contact did note the public is heavily backing the Chargers here and he likely will need the Titans come Sunday.

Indianapolis @ Green Bay
There’s been some sharp interest on the Packers here at -7 but nothing to overwhelming to force my local NYC bookie source off the key number of 7 just yet. He did note sharp money did come in on the Over betting him up from 52.5 to 54. Nothing on the side but a move from 53 to 54 with some Over support in Vegas confirmed.

Denver @ Oakland

Nothing in terms of sharp money to report in either market on this one just yet. Both guys did confirm they do expect heavy Broncos money here and will likely be rooting for the Raiders, my Vegas guy did note that he’s hoping local Raiders fans do come in on them on Sunday to balance him out a bit.

Buffalo @ Seattle

A little sharp money coming in on the Bills here at +7, but nothing big enough for my local guy to move off the key number of 7. Sharps came in strong enough in Vegas on the Bills for my Oddsmaker contact to move off of +7 and down to +6.5 on this one.

Sometimes I agree with these early moves and sometimes I don’t. One thing I can say in my opinion has been a strong one. Over the last 5 years I’ve won 61% of my last 291 NFL bets after another winning Sunday last week. It’s good to have a guy like me and the rest of the handicappers here at We Cover Spreads by your side come Sunday. The rest of the crew is ready to go this season in NFL! Hop on board with us this week as we look to exploit the marketplace. You can pick up my plays and the rest of the cappers right here on the site.
