2015 Week 7 NFL Smart Money Report

FootballMoneyMy weekly blog special the “Smart Money Report” Week 7 edition is here to help you guys out. Make sure to check here every Thursday during NFL season as I utilize all my sharps aka professional bettor contacts, Las Vegas Oddsmaker contacts, and NYC bookies to give you the info on what’s happening behind the counter in the NFL betting marketplace with every game on the board.

I always preach to pay attention to opening numbers. If you want to win like as sharp you have to think like a sharp I always say. Remember sharps aka professional bettors bet early in the week into opening numbers to get themselves the best value possible.

Remember squares aka the general betting public usually wait to place their bets until gameday before kick off. So any early moves you see during the beginning of the week is sharp money.

It’s important to realize that every early sharp move isn’t them holding on to that position. Sometime it’s head fake money which is sharps moving a line in order to get a more favorable number on game day betting the other side.

Seattle @ San Francisco

It’s been all Seattle money early according to my NYC local contact. He opened at 4.5 and is up to 6.5 as he said sharps tried to beat the betting public to the punch laying the points with Seattle. His total was bet up from 41.5 to 42. Same exact story in Vegas. Both shops said they’ll be rooting for the Niners come Thursday.

Buffalo @ Jacksonville

A small early move came in on Buffalo betting them up to 5.5 from a 4.5 opener in NYC. He had nothing to report on the total. Same exact story in Vegas on this one too.

Cleveland @ St. Louis
My NYC source said some small early money came in on Cleveland betting him down to 4.5 from a 5.5 opener, although the number has settled back at 5.5 as we go to press. He said the total was bet down a half of tick from 42.5 to 42. A different story from Sin City as my Vegas connection tells me he was bet up from 4.5 to 5.5 on this one early this week. Nothing on the total.

Pittsburgh @ Kansas City
Game was off the board as we went to press.

Houston @ Miami
Nothing to report on the side but early smart money was on the Over according to my NYC source, he was bet up to 44.5 from a 43.5 opener early this week. Same story in Vegas as my West Coast contact told me he was bet up from a 43 opener to 44.5 as we go to press.

NY Jets @ New England
My NYC bookie source opened this at 10 and was bet down to 9. He said he’ll likely be rooting for New England on Sunday as he’ll be taking a lot of Jets money from the local NYC scene. Even in Vegas my oddsmaker source said the early ticket count is heavier on the Jets. He said 2 out of every 3 tickets so far has been Jets money early in the week. As far as the line goes he said he’s had nothing to report in terms of smart money on this one.

Minnesota @ Detroit
MY NYC source said he opened this at 2 and has been bet up to 2.5 early on by smart money and he said he wouldn’t be shocked if hits 3 before Sunday on this one. My Vegas contact told me he opened this at 2.5 and was bet up to 3 where opposing sharp money came in on the Lions moving this down 2.5 as he go to press.

Atlanta @ Tennessee
My NYC source opened this at 3.5 and is up to 5 as he said on Wednesday as news that Mariotta sat out practice and some money came in on Atlanta. He said regardless what happens he expects the public heavy on Atlanta on Sunday and he’ll likely need Tennessee. My Vegas source said he had nothing to report early this week on this one.

Tampa Bay @ Washington
Nothing to report on the side in NYC but the total is where the sharp money came in on the Under according to my NYC guy. He tells me he was bet down to 43.5 from a 44.5 opener. Different story in Vegas on this one. My West Coast Oddsmaker contact tells me the side was quiet but his total was bet up a half of tick from 43 to 43.5 as we go to press.

New Orleans @ Indianapolis
A little early Saints money showing up according to my NYC guy as he was bet down to 5 from a 5.5 opener. My Vegas oddsmaker source tells me the side has been bouncing back and forth between 4.5 and 5 all week with nothing to report on the total.

Oakland @ San Diego
Early money on Oakland according to my NYC source as he was bet do 4 from a 5 opener on this one with sharps favoring Oakland. Nothing to report on the Total. Nothing to report from Vegas early this week on this one.

Dallas @ NY Giants
My Vegas source tells me despite being in a NY market and likely needing the Giants all the early sharp money in NYC has been on Dallas betting the Cowboys down to 3.5 from a 5 opener. He said it helps him balance the action and he’s loving that early this week. Nothing on the total. Same exact story in Vegas on the side and he told me his total has moved down to 45 from a 45.5 opener

Philadelphia @ Carolina
Early sharp money came in on the Eagles moving my NYC guy down to 3 from a 3.5 opener. He also told me his total was bet down to 46 from a 46.5 opener on this game. Out on the West Coast on the strip my guy is telling me nothing to report on this one so far.

Baltimore @ Arizona

My NYC guy is telling me he’s moved this from 7.5 to 9 to get Arizona out of the teaser window as the Cardinals were a popular teaser with sharp guys early this week. He had nothing on the total to report. Basically the same story in Vegas on this one moving Arizona up to 8.5 from a 7 opener

Sometimes I agree with these early moves and sometimes I don’t. One thing I can say in my opinion has been a strong one.
