2012 NFL Week 7 Smart Money Report

a href=”http://www.wecoverspreads.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/FootballMoney2.jpg”>My weekly blog special the “Smart Money Report” Week 4 edition is here to help you guys out. Make sure to check here every Thursday during NFL season as I utilize all my sharps aka professional bettor contacts, Las Vegas Oddsmaker contacts, and NYC bookies to give you the info on what’s happening behind the counter in the NFL betting marketplace with every game on the board.

I always preach to pay attention to opening numbers. If you want to win like as sharp you have to think like a sharp I always say. Remember sharps aka professional bettors bet early in the week into opening numbers to get themselves the best value possible.

Remember squares aka the general betting public usually wait to place their bets until gameday before kick off. So any early moves you see during the beginning of the week is sharp money.

It’s important to realize that every early sharp move isn’t them holding on to that position. Sometime it’s head fake money which is sharps moving a line in order to get a more favorable number on game day betting the other side.

Thursday
Seattle vs San Francisco (-7, O/U 37.5)

My Vegas oddsmaker contact opened this line up at 7 and moved up to 7.5 initially before seeing resistance and settling back on the key number of 7 come press time. The total has been bet up a half of tick from 37.5 to 38. Same exact story on the side according to my NYC bookie source. The total opened at 39.5 and was bet down to 37.5 early in the week with Under support here in the NYC local underground market. Both sources said the Niners will be a very popular teaser bet among sharps and recreational bettors.

Sunday
Baltimore vs Houston (-7, O/U 48)

In the desert my bookmaker contact opened Houston up -5 and said he has seen strong sharp move early on the Texans moving this up to -6.5 come press time. The total opened at 47 and has been bet up to 48.5 with a move to the Over early in the week. According to my local NYC bookie source a very strong sharp move on the Texans this week. They opened at -4.5 and have been all the way up to -7 come press time. He said if some sharps to scalp a middle and take the dog before kick off wouldn’t surprise him. The total opened at 46 and has been bet up to 48.5 with a strong move to the Over as well.

Dallas vs Carolina (+2.5, O/U 46)
Nothing to report from Vegas on this game early in the week as all is quiet. Nothing to report on the side in NYC local shops early except the total has been bet up half a tick from 45 to 45.5 early in the week. Both sources said they’ll be likely rooting for Carolina this weekend as the Cowboys will be a very popular public play.

Washington vs NY Giants (+5.5, O/U 50)
Out in Vegas my linesmaker source told me they opened the Giants-7 and have seen sharp love for the dog betting this down to 6 come press time. The total has been bet up half of tick from 49.5 to 50 come press time.In NYC our local shops knew sharps would want to pounce all over the Redskins here they shorten them and opened the line at -6 where some head fake money came in and got the line up to -6.5 before dog money came in immediately moving this back down to 6 come press time. The total opened at 48.5 and has been bet up to 50 with move to the Over.

New Orleans vs Tampa Bay (+3, O/U 50)
No early movement from Vegas to report on this game. My NYC local source expects a classic sharps vs squares battle here. They have hung -125 juice to bet the Bucs at +3 all week at our local shops. Remember old school guys love divisional home dogs but they haven’t exactly jumped on them yet. They said recreational bettors will be heavily tied into the Saints this week. So maybe sharps are waiting to see if a 3.5 pops up before kick off. The total opened at 48 and has been bet up to 49.5

Cleveland @ Indianapolis (-2.5, O/U 45)
This line opened at 3 in Vegas and my linesmaker source told me he’s seen enough sharp money come in early on the Browns to move off the key number of 3 down to 2.5. He had nothing significant to report on the total in this game. Here in NYC the move on the Browns has been a very strong one. They opened +3 and have been bet down to +1 for the second week in a row with a strong sharp sentiment coming in on the Browns. The total has been bet up half of tick from 44.5 to 45.

Arizona @ Minnesota (-6, O/U 40)
My Vegas oddsmaker source told me he sharps have sided with the home team early in the week moving this line from 4.5 to 6 come press time.He said before kick off last week he took money against the Cardinals, so two weeks in a row anti-Arizona money has entered the market. He said he thinks this move maybe because Kevin Kolb was announced out but in his own numbers there is no significant drop off between Kolb and Skelton. This opened at 4 in NYC and has been bet up to -6.5 come press time co-signing the West Coast move on the Vikings. The total opened 41.5 and was bet down as low as 40 before settling at 40.5 come press time.

Green Bay @ St. Louis (-5, O/U 45)
Nothing to report on the side at the dead # of 5.5 in Vegas. He did say the total was bet up half of tick from 44.5 to 45 come press time. NYC local books opened this as low as -4 and saw sharps grab up the Packers early at -4. They started to move the number up toward the dead number of 5.5 where there was no love. Not enough to push the Packers up to the next range of key numbers of 6 and 7. The public will be heavily involved with Green Bay here and my local NYC source told me depending how high this gets you may see some sharp action on the dog right before kick off. The total opened at 44 and has been bet up to 45 with movement to the Over.

Tennessee @ Buffalo (-3, O/U 46.5)
The Titans opened at 3.5 in Vegas and sharps did take the hook moving this down to 3 but my oddsmaker source said at 3 the love stopped. Nothing to report on the total. There is still a 3.5 available here in NYC at our local shops as sharps weren’t as eager as their west coast counterparts to take the hook. The total has been bouncing between 45.5 and 46.5 all week.

NY Jets @ New England (-10, O/U 47.5)
My Vegas oddsmaker source opened this at 11 and took a little dog money moving down half of tick to 10.5 come press time .Nothing to report on the total. Here in NYC it opened at -10 and there was some Patriots money early moving this up to 10.5 where the market saw resistance and moved back down to 10. The total has been bet up half of tick from 47 to 47.5 come press time.

Jacksonville @ Oakland (-4, O/U 43.5)
Nothing to report on the side here early in the week from sharps but the total saw some movement to the Over being bet up from 42.5 to 43.5 early in the week. Nothing to report on side or total on this game in NYC early in the week.

Pittsburgh @ Cincinnatti (+1, O/U 45.5)
My Vegas oddsmaker said the Steelers are a public team and he likely will need the Bengals in this spot. He opened at -1 and saw some early Steelers money and moved as high as 2.5. He said a different group of sharps came in on the Bengals and moved this down to 1.5. He said he expects sharp action split on this one and recreational bettors on the Steelers. Nothing to report of significance in NYC on this game early in the week.

Monday
Detroit @ Chicago (-6, O/U 47)

Chicago has always been a public team and now that they are good my Vegas oddsmaker contact expects the recreational money to be on the Bears come Monday Night. He opened this at 6.5 and saw a strong move on the Lions pushing this down to 5.5. At 5.5 he did see some Chicago money enter the market and has settled at 6 come press time. Nothing to report on the total early. Very strong early move in NYC on the Lions moving them from 6.5 to 4.5 but like in Vegas the market bought back on Chicago and moved this back up to 6 come press time .The total has been bet down from 48 to 47 with some Under support.

Sometimes I agree with these early moves and sometimes I don’t. One thing I can say in my opinion has been a strong one and last week we once again dominated the books in NFL going 3-1 (75%)! That puts us on a 20-11- (66%) NFL run the past few weeks! It’s good to have a guy like me by your side come Sunday to help utilize my contacts to make us money on some diamonds in the rough. Hop on board with me this Thursday, Sunday, and Monday night as I look to exploit the marketplace with the help of my contacts.
